VACE Webinar: "Three Negotiations to Advance Your Career"

Date: Thursday, December 16
Time: 10:00-11:00am EST

Description: In this session, we will discuss three points of negotiation that can advance your career – how you decide which jobs to apply for, negotiating salary and benefits, and advocating for growth in your current role. Research shows more women than men don’t apply to jobs for which they may actually be qualified! The majority of women also do not negotiate their salary when they accept a job, though 80% of employers are prepared to negotiate when they make an offer! Once you are in a role, how do you continue to grow without finding a new job? By attending this session, participants will learn:
  • How to evaluate when to apply for a job, and when not to!
  • Strategies for negotiating salary and benefits
  • Tactics to advocate for growth within your current role
