Benefits - Eligibility - Application Information Professional Development Throughout the year, VACE offers its members opportunities for professional development through activities such as employer visitations, workshops, and other in-service training experiences. The interaction among college and employer members allows for self-improvement and learning. Learn more about past Training & Development events to get a feel for what VACE membership can offer you. Annual Conference Held each Spring, the annual conference provides an opportunity to share timely information and focus on important issues. Noteworthy speakers address major developments in the field, group discussions focus on key areas of program development, and social gatherings provide ample time for members to exchange ideas with new and old colleagues alike. Newsletter Published three times each year, the newsletter updates and informs the membership of activities sponsored by state and regional associations, presents legal and governmental issues, and highlights other topics of interest to members. On-line Membership Directory and Database - MyVACE Members

spreadsheet and using the email feature in MyVACE to communicate

have an account on the organization listserv in order to receive
communication and send communication to other members regarding events taking place in their areas in which others may be

to share pertinent information. Committee Participation A number of committees, including the Annual Conference, Awards, and Technology committees, offer numerous opportunities for member involvement and leadership development. College Representatives who are actively engaged in the career planning and/or placement of students from non-profit degree granting colleges or universities located in Virginia which are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. individuals who have the overall responsibilities for these functions are also eligible. $40

Membership Eligibility continued Employer Representatives who are actively engaged in college relations or in the recruitment, selection and placement of students, within their own organization, from educational institutions within the Commonwealth of Virginia. Individuals who have the overall responsibilities for these functions are also eligible. $40 Associate Professional These individuals previously held VACE membership, have a continued interest in recruitment/hiring, and their membership is not in violation of membership laws. Selected individuals in this classification may not hold office or vote, but may serve on committees. $40 Associate Student These individuals are students pursuing an advanced degree in preparation for a career in career planning/placement, college recruiting/relations, and/or human resources. Membership in this classification will terminate at the end of the year in which they graduate. Individuals in this classification may not hold office or vote, but may serve on committees.$20 Affiliate Member Representatives of organizations whose purpose is to provide service to the career services and/or HR/Staffing functions, and are complementary to and supportive of the purpose of this Association, but who do not meet the criteria for other categories of membership. $40 VACE welcomes your interest and participation in our organization. The annual membership period is July 1 through June 30.
