This committee is responsible for
soliciting from the membership nominations for recipients of awards.
Reviews nominations to insure they meet criteria for receipt of
award. Awards will be conferred at the Annual Conference.
Awards given by VACE include:
HONORARY LIFETIME MEMBERSHIP
-- Eligibility is based on notable contributions to VACE, the
furthering of the career services/college relations functions, and
regular participation in the Association. Members can be considered
for this award at anytime following retirement or resignation from
VACE.
A. ISABEL GORDON DISTINGUISHED
SERVICE AWARD -- Eligibility is based on VACE membership which
includes those who have rendered a continuing and superior level of
service and leadership to the Association, and may be awarded to
persons who are currently members of the Association, the regional
Association(s), or the National Association of Colleges and
Employers.
JOHN L. CHASE MERITORIOUS SERVICE
AWARD -- Eligibility is based on active VACE membership and
includes those who have made exceptionally valuable contributions to
cooperative education, career services or college recruiting, who
have been continuous and ardent workers in the ranks over a long
period of time and whose services deserve recognition.
NEW PROFESSIONALS AWARD --
This award is given to an outstanding VACE member with 1-3 years of
experience in the field of college student employment and is a
member of the Association.
EMERGING LEADERS AWARD -- This
award is presented to a member within VACE
and who has made a significant contribution through service, on a
committee, a task force, or in some other capacity.
